Get in line

So I really like conceptual illustration trying to illustrate an idea with an image. For these two a line of people helped me illustrate the idea not necessarily the story. The first is Robert Johnson at the Crossroads the second is an article about Employers compensating employees for travel/gas spent getting to work.

Yeah, the style is really coming along. I'm impressed! I'll trade you skill levels...

The concept seems stronger in the bottom picture, for whatever that's worth. But the top illustration has so much to it. It's very narrative.

I like how dismal the blues and grays are, like its a long line of people trudging through a cemetary, and just after they get their money they die and turn into money-givers.

Yeah I think these ones are my favorites. The style draws my eye here a lot more than the others. Here's my blog address if you want to check it out. adamtillustration.blogspot.com
