This is a Mono type Print of Steven who plays cello for my friend Colby Stead. A mono type is a complex way of painting on paper. Using thin layers of ink on a sheet of plexiglass you add layer after layer and you can put solvents in the ink or use templates to give effects like I did in the back ground.
With this piece I was trying to show Stevens inhibition to be in the spot light. He is a great musician but would rather be heard and not seen.
